CV Skinlabs Review

dsc_0017Good morning lovely readers! This will be the last post of 2016! I have some really exciting plans for 2017. I want to do more makeup reviews and swatches for you guys. I really love doing makeup looks so I want to make that a priority. What are your goals for 2017?!

Recently, I developed some irritation around the perimeter of my face and my scalp was especially irritated. I changed my shampoo but I was still experiencing some discomfort. I decided to try CV Skinlabs Moisture for Neck, Face and Scalp. I purchased this during a Black Friday sale where I also received the CV Skinlabs Rescue and Relief Spray. Here are my thoughts!

CV Skinlabs Rescue and Relief Spray – Let’s start off with this bad boy. My husband absolutely loves this. He has commandeered it and uses it every time he shaves. He says it stops irritation and reduces those pesky red bumps from forming. I also used this after I epilated my legs and it definitely helps to reduce any itch and discomfort.

For those who are sensitive to smells, this has a very earthy smell. I don’t mind the smell but it’s something to be aware of.

Overall: Highly recommend. If you have sensitive, easily inflamed skin give this a go. It’s an absolute life saver after shaving. The price is exceptionally reasonable for the quality of product and the amount you get. $34.00 for 6 oz.

dsc_0053CV Skinlabs Calming Moisture for Face, Neck and Scalp – I have really mixed feelings on this moisturizer. I think it’s amazing for targeted areas of irritation. It works really well and almost immediately provides relief. However, I cannot use this all over my face. It just doesn’t work for me. If I use it for an extended period of time I develop some texture on my face. For targeted treatment it’s perfect, not so great for overall use unfortunately.

My advice? Get a sample. See how you like it. I have extremely sensitive skin. I know within seconds of putting something on my face whether my skin will tolerate it. This just isn’t one of those products I can put all over my face unfortunately.

Overall: Recommend with reservations. Get a sample and see how your skin reacts to this. For me it’s perfect for the occasional irritated patch of skin but not as    an all over moisturizer.
