Hello everyone! I have a really fun, really simple fall makeup look for you guys today! I know it’s not fall yet but I am just getting super excited for the chilly days and lots of tea!
The star of this makeup is definitely the orangey-brown lip. I just love this color. It’s so pretty and so perfect for autumn! I actually found a lipliner that matches this really well! I’ll have a post about that this upcoming week.
I really try to keep my makeup looks pretty simple to recreate. This is easy as 1-2-3. I promise! All of the shadows I used will be listed at the bottom of the post!
(1) After you prime your eyes, start building up your crease. I suggest using a fluffy brush and a matte eyeshadow.
Quick tip – if you find that your crease is never as blended as you would like or remains patchy and uneven I suggest trying a loose matte shadow. Sometimes pressed matte shadows can be difficult to work with. Use a VERY fluffy brush and just swirl it around the lid of your matte loose eyeshadow. If you are still having issues, try setting your eye primer with a matte shadow that matches your eyelid. Set the whole eyelid so your transition color won’t “stick” to your crease. OR use the Brija Loose Eyeshadow Primer. Because it’s a powder it accomplishes the same thing, it also has a touch of Kaolin clay to make sure your eyeshadows don’t crease.
(2) Switch brushes to a more directional fluffy brush (read: smaller “foot print” or stiffer bristles). Nestle the darker shade right into the outer edge of your crease. Do not over blend your darker shade. You want to create dimension, not blow out the color.
(3) Choose a shimmering eyeshadow to place right on the center of the lid. It will add a beautiful dimension to the eye.
This is a really typical smokey eye for me. Sometimes I leave it there or add a wing. For this look I added a wing using an angled brush and a loose shadow.
There are so many youtube videos out there that explain how to do makeup. Just remember to take your time! Makeup, like most things in life, takes practice. Play with colors, keep blending and have fun 🙂
