Nighttime Acne Oils

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekends! This weekend I wanted to share with you guys the oils that are really helping to reduce my acne and fade my existing acne scars. As I prepare for my wedding I am trying to keep my skincare routine consistent and very simple. These oils have been my best friends these past few weeks!

I know putting oil on your skin may seem counterintuitive, especially when dealing with acne, but I promise that it works! Because my skin gets extremely dry if I don’t add oils and moisture to my skin it just overproduces oil and I get black heads and acne. I have found both of these oils to be really helpful in reducing acne, moisturizing my skin, fading acne scars and NOT clogging my pores.

Reduce Acne: To help breakouts and stop them from forming all together I like to use my Tamanu Inspire Blend. Jeannine created this blend after I mentioned that I was dealing with acne on my cheeks and jawline. This is a really simple, yet effective, blend of Tamanu oil and Tea tree oil.

I find this to be clarifying without drying my skin out! My skin loves tea tree oil but most products with tea tree can be really drying. This is the best product I have found that I can use consistently to help my acne. I use about 3 drops of this each night.

Fade ScarsWe have all had that monster zit that you pop and then it gets super angry and scars. It’s terrible. No matter how much concealer you use it will STILL peak through! Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil is one of the best products I have found to reduce acne scarring. Yes, retinol works extremely well but I find retinol to be a bit harsh and very drying!

This oil just helps with cell turnover and really helps the skin to be it’s best. Although not an overnight miracle, if I use this consistently I see remarkable fading of my acne scars. I use just one or two drops of this after my Tamanu Oil.

I think the most important thing I have learned as I try to reduce my acne is that everyone is different. You have to listen to your skin! There are so many acne products on the market but just because they work for everyone else does not mean that it will work for you. Don’t be afraid to try oils to help your acne! Listen to your skin!

What are your favorite products to fight acne? Let me know down in the comments and make sure to include your skin type! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoy your weekends!

I love face oils, I never was much of a fan of them but they really help keep blemishes away and reduces blotchiness! I’m an avid lover of the Kiehl’s Recovery Day and Midnight oil they are fantastic! I’ve never heard of the brands above, but I have quite a few scars so will be looking at the Pai Rosehip one! Thank you for the suggestions xx

Yeah, retinol works well it’s just not worth the side effects!

I was always cautious about using oils on oily/combination skin, there were rumours that oils are not for oily skin. I wish I hadn’t listen to them. When I have acne problems, I try to use tea tree oil and it works. I have a few spot marks which doesn’t want to fade away, so rosehip oil would help that? I have to purchase it!

Yeah, I’ve found rose hip oil really helpful! It takes a bit of time but it does work well!
