Seed to Serum Order Review

A few weeks ago my skin was really unhappy. I had break outs all over my cheeks and it was causing a lot of stress and anxiety. The stress and anxiety probably wasn’t helping with the breakouts either! I became so desperate that I emailed Megan, the owner of Seed to Serum, and asked for her advice on what I should use to help my skin as well as try to determine the root of the problem. Megan was so sweet and recommended a few products to help with my extremely dry, dehydrated and irritable skin.

The best thing about Seed to Serum is that Megan sells sample sizes of most of the products she carries. Because my skin is so irritable and sensitive this is really helpful. The last thing I need is to spend $60 on a serum that breaks me out. Megan recommended a very gentle, physical exfoliator. Specifically, the Province Apothecary Regenerating + Stimulating Exfoliator. This is a loose powder that you can add to your facial cleanser or just add a bit of water and gently massage the face. This contains oatmeal which is really soothing, as well as lavender and green tea leaf to reduce redness. This is a complete win for me. I absolutely love this! It’s $12 for a 1 ounce sample which is really generous! You don’t need much of this so this sample should last me a while!

Megan also suggested a deeply moisturizing facial cream. I picked up a sample of the Camp Filthy Rich Face Cream. This is an extremely moisturizing balm-like cream. It melts on contact with the skin and doesn’t leave a residue on the face. I definitely recommend picking up a sample size of this because if your skin is easily irritated or you break out easily it’s important to sample this first. I really like this. I can’t use it in the morning but at night time it’s perfect!

Megan also included a ton of free samples as well as a nail polish! The African Botanics Pure Marula Cleansing Oil is a really gentle cleansing oil that takes off all of your makeup! I do recommend a face cloth to get it off, otherwise you are left with a slight residue. This has no scent so it’s perfect for those with sensitive skin! The Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin E Eye Balm is DIVINE! It moisturizers the under eye area so beautifully. I love using this at night right before I moisturize my face. The Eye Balm is a real winner. I haven’t had a chance to try The Little Alchemist Anti Aging Defense Complex yet because I’m testing a few other oils and moisturizers at the moment and I don’t want to go crazy. I’ll keep you all posted with that though!

If you read my Kester Black Nail Polish Inspired Makeup Look post you will have seen a mini review of the Kester Black Nail Polish in Violet. I am blown away by the quality of this polish. Before I got into makeup I was all about the nails. I have tried almost every single main stream brand of nail polish out there. But this, this is the business my friends. Completely opaque in one coat. It lasted 5 days with minimal tip wear and no chipping. The only reason I took it off was because I my nails were growing and I was getting that gap between the nail bed and the nail polish. Completely, 100% recommend this nail polish formula. Just go buy it. Run. Go.

Give Megan a holler if you have any questions! She really is so sweet and extremely helpful. The lady knows what she’s talking about! I will definitely be ordering from Seed to Serum again very soon!

Products were purchased with my own money. I am not being paid to write this review. All opinions are my own. Nail polish and the three small samples were graciously gifted.

Getting the sample sized product before purchasing the fullsize expensive one is always better. I’ve wasted so much money because of not being able to test the products. These organic products sound lovely, good to know that these products work on your skin.

Oh my goodness I have too! It’s terrible! I’ve noticed that a lot of the organic and natural brands sell samples, even makeup samples which is really awesome! Thanks Ela!

Thank you so much for this post – I’ve read a lot about the merits of Marula oil recently and have been meaning to try it. What a genius idea of Seed to Serum to send out samples – reminds me of Commodity perfumes model of a “Home Fitting Kit” (which totally worked).

It really is such a great idea! And it’s such a great way to try really expensive skincare before making the investment. Thanks so much for reading and commenting Jess!
