Sometimes it’s okay to keep it simple

The beauty world is filled with amazing artists. Magazines, TV, Youtube, Instagram and movies bombard us with the most beautiful women wearing the most beautiful makeup looks. Everything from deep, dark and smokey to cut creased and sparkly. It’s gorgeous. I love it.

But…sometimes it’s okay to keep it simple. Sometimes it’s okay not to wear 5 different eyeshadows and mix 3 different lipsticks. I love doing complicated makeup. I love wearing false lashes and liner out to my temples.

But…sometimes I’m not feeling it. And that is totally okay! Makeup doesn’t make you beautiful. You make you beautiful. If you wanna pile it on, heck I’m with you! If you don’t, no worries. Pop on a bit of mascara (or not) and a bit of lipstick or lip balm (or not). The beauty of makeup is that it is all up to you!

I want to take a moment to thank all of my lovely readers for your comments and kind words. I absolutely love doing makeup looks for you guys. It’s such a pleasure. But I always like to be reminded that there’s a person behind the blog. Makeup isn’t my life. It’s my hobby and I enjoy it, but it isn’t my life.

Let’s get to know one another a bit more shall we? Tell me something about yourselves down in the comments! Hope you’re all having an absolutely lovely day!

This is pretty much my go to everyday makeup, it’s quick, simple and easy. What lipstick are you wearing in the picture? It’s so lovely on you!

When I go to work, I don’t have time to do full face makeup so I keep it simple most of the times. Mascara and lipstick are my essentials. I am really bad at telling things about myself, I just can’t think of any 🙂 I’m a mechanical engineer with masters on advanced manufacturing systems and I really don’t know why I chose that field, I should have gone for something girly!

Same! Definitely mascara, I just don’t feel ready without it! My fiancé is a materials engineer. I think engineering is awesome!

The lipstick looks amazing on you, such a lovely shade! I have been obsessed with plum shades lately but I cannot wait to start wearing my pinks/nudes for spring! 🙂
