Refresh your wing for spring

NavyWing 5

I don’t know about you but I am really ready for spring! I am done with heavy black liner and dark lips. I just want pastels and pinks and vibrant fire engine red!  I made a compromise with my makeup and decided on a simple navy flick with a pinky nude lip.

I think changing the color of your flick is a really great way to add interest to an otherwise very simple, standard daytime look. The blue just makes it that tad bit less harsh! I went for a navy but a purple, green or gray would also look lovely! I did define my crease a bit with a cool toned brown shadow, that’s completely optional I just like to deepen my crease a touch.

For the lips I kept it really simple and used Pacifica’s Natural Lipstick in Nudie Red. This lipstick has a completely matte finish and is great pinky nude! This is a vegan lipstick so there is no carmine if that is something you are looking for in a lipstick.

I included a shot with me in my glasses 🙂 Because I always wear my glasses but rarely take my pictures with them on! It’s just difficult because of the glare off of the lenses. Hope you like this simple way to update a look!

Gosh, you’re such a natural beauty, Ellen! Honestly you don’t need much makeup at all and love this soft, natural look on you. I have tons of colour eye liners but almost never use them, this just gave me the much needed push to take them out again.

I’ve heard really great things about that eyeliner! I’m absolute rubbish when it comes to liquid liner. Even in pen form. I have very shaky hands so eyeshadow is just a better bet for me ha!

Blue eyeliners are so beautiful, we love using them with a pink lip too! Your whole look is flawless, we envy your cateye skills!

Thank you so much!!! Try using surgical tape to map out the base of the wing! It makes it so much easier! Especially if you are using powder shadows to create the wing 🙂
