e.l.f. cosmetics review

Up until a few weeks ago the only e.l.f. product I owned was a pencil sharpener. I decided it was time that I tried a few things from the brand that is astonishingly affordable.

Here’s what I picked up! I’ve tested these products for about three weeks now so I think I have given them a pretty good run!

e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit in Medium: I would definitely recommend priming your eyebrows with an eye primer when using this. The wax is nicely pigmented and really gives a nice natural brow but you need to set it with the powder or you risk smudging it during the day. The brush that comes with it isn’t great but it’s good enough for touchups if necessary! I find the color to be nicely cool toned which is hard for drugstore products!

e.l.f. High Definition Undereye Setting Powder: Really, really, really love this powder! It’s extremely smoothing and brightening. There isn’t any super obvious shimmer so it’s perfect for setting the under eye. Highly recommend this!

e.l.f. Golden Bronzer: I’m not exactly sure why I grabbed this but I ended up liking it! I don’t use it as a bronzer but I do use it as a subtle highlight. I especially love the paler shades mixed together. This would be a nice highlight for medium skin tones as well.

Overall thoughts? Honestly, not bad. I paid $3 for each of these so my expectations were NOT high. The winner is definitely the High Definition Undereye Setting Powder. If you grab anything, definitely grab that little gem .

I haven’t placed any ELF order in ages now and I really should because I’m sure there must be millions of new products (just like the ones that you are featuring). The problem with ELF is that you actually end up buying the whole collection!

I’ve just found out your blog and I wanted to tell you that I find it lovely. The design is amazing and pictures are gorgeous.
    I’ll come back for sure.

I’ve only tried a few products from elf and eyebrow kit is one of them, it was actually the first eyebrow product I owned. It is really easy to use and it has everything you might need for good looking brows. For $3 each, they are such bargains!

I love most of ELF products I have tried, their blushes are beautiful and some of my personal favourites. I have the under eye setting powder and loved how finely milled it was but mine seemed to have a bit of shimmer to it which I didn’t really like for under my eyes. Great reviews.

That’s really odd! I have looked at mine under the light to see if there was shimmer and I couldn’t see any. Maybe it’s my eyes ha! I haven’t tried their blushes I definitely want to check those out!

Elf is a very affordable brand, and for the quality that you get I would say it’s a pretty sweet deal!
I’ve never tried the eyebrown kit, I think I will buy it to give it a try!

You’re right it definitely has that minimal feel which is nice! I never love when companies go too crazy on their packaging. Definitely try it out and let me know how you like it!

Elf is such a lovely budget brand, and the quality is really nice even for the low cost. This is why I love them so much and I started to get more into their products end of last year. Love your picks here & glad to hear the generally good review! xx adaatude.com
