Deep Colors – Inspiration

Deep 4 Last weekend I decided it was time for a dark eye look and a dark lip look. I was just in that mood, you know? Anyhow, I hopped over to Design Seeds to search for a palette that would inspire me! I came across this and was just like, yes. It was perfect, cool and beautiful. The photo is by fairynuffflowers and if you love flowers go check out her Instagram. It’s essentially flower porn and who doesn’t want that?

This look is actually extremely, EXTREMELY easy to create. Grab some surgical tape (or scotch tape, no judgement just stick it on and off your clothing so it’s less sticky) and map out where you want your wing to be. Shade the socket with a cool brown shade just to add some depth, then switch over to a burgundy. I used Makeup Geek Bitten (such a gorgeous shade!) and I worked that into the crease. I packed a peachy face highlighter, the Bare Minerals Pure Radiance Powder, all over the mobile lid. I used a teal Bare Minerals loose eyeliner to create my wing.

I finished up the look with a bit of contour, a dark lip, and a few coats of mascara. No false lashes, say what! I’ll be honest, I was lazy and I have the hardest time getting the House of Lashes glue off! If you have any tips on how to get this glue off let me know down in the comments! Let me know what you think down in the comments, and if you’re in in the North East U.S., enjoy the snow! I live in Philadelphia and I am SO EXCITED for a snow storm. I’m 5 years old on the inside, what can I say?
