I have to be honest, I am totally guilty of waiting until the last minute to buy gifts. I know that’s terrible but I have a really hard time making decisions when it comes to presents. I have put together a little gift guide that can easily be thrown together the day before the event.
I will link my first gift guide here, where I focused on lips. This second gift is a great one to give to friends or family who are just getting into makeup and need the basics.
The Budget Makeup Bag: run (drive/walk safely) to the drugstore and grab the staples that you reach for everyday. I think this is a great way to introduce your younger sisters or cousins to the ropes of everyday makeup. Add a nice powder, blush and lipstick, or anything else that you really love. I personally really enjoy the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, Milani Rose Powder Blush, Romantic Rose and Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs Lipstick in Truffle Tease. These are products that are super versatile and you don’t need to worry about matching their skin tone to a foundation! Pop it in a little makeup bag and you’re set!
The Luxury Makeup Bag: this is definitely a great option for your older friends or family that are rediscovering makeup or just need a nice treat. I also think this would be a fantastic present for new moms who just need quick and reliable products! A nice primer, bronzer and lip color to perk up the complexion and add some color!
The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is great and can be used on it’s own to mask the appearance of pores and keep the skin matte. Lancome Belle De Teint 04 is really fantastic to just warm up the complexion without turning orange. A Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, who doesn’t want one of those?!
I think this is a great way to introduce friends and families to the products you know and trust. I never recommend products that I don’t absolutely love to my readers or my family! Hope this helps!
