First holiday look of the season! Who’s excited for all of the holiday parties? And when I say “holiday parties” I mean staying home and watching Love Actually with my cats…
I decided to do a Rose Gold Cut Crease and paired it with the ColourPop Lippie in Creature. In my ColourPop Haul I promised I would do a look featuring Creature, so here it is!
I’ll be honest, creating a cut crease takes a bit of time and patience. It’s one of those looks that halfway through you’re like, OH MY GOSH WHAT DID I DO?! You start hyperventilating but just keep blending! Blend, blend, blend! This honestly didn’t look good until I tight lined and added some lashes.
As you can see I carved my cut crease just a fraction above my natural crease. I have hooded eyes so when my eyes are open this look isn’t too dramatic. But you get that nice cut crease action when you look down. I think it’s a great holiday look, very sultry! Maybe not great for Grandma’s Cookie Exchange Party but you get what I mean.
Just a note: taking pictures in my apartment in Philadelphia, during the winter, is an art form in itself. So when a makeup look is taking a bit longer than expected (like this one) I start freaking out and screaming about the light.
I’m losing light, the light is waning! THE LIGHT!!!! Just a nice picture of my life for you. You’re welcome.
If you’re looking for a fantastic cut crease tutorial there are so many great ones out there. I think it really depends on your style and what you’re looking for.
Nikkie Tutorials does some very intense cut creases (linked here) and Karima from Shameless Fripperies does a much softer cut crease (linked here). Totally depends on your preference and your eye shape. Adjust your placement and intensity to suit your face.
