Holiday Party Look for Foodies

HolidayMakeup 3

I love food. I love red lipstick. Unfortunately, red lipstick and food don’t really love one another that much. So, if I have to choose…I’m going for the food. Vampy holiday looks are my FAVORITE! But, not extremely practical. I created a really simple golden-burgandy eye and paired it with my ColourPop Lippie Stick in Tootsi.

No winged liner, nothing crazy here. Just a simple eye look that I would totally rock for Christmas dinner.

I followed the same steps I usually do when I am doing a more intense eye. Added a base nude shadow, and built up my crease with some cooler browns. I used Makeup Geek Bitten Eyeshadow in the crease and really built it up in the outer V.

Anddddd…then I had fun with some loose pigments! I borrowed some Bare Minerals loose eyeshadow pigments from my best friend and roommate (thanks Faith!) and let me just say that these pack a PUNCH! I actually used my Nivea Post Shave Balm to dampen my brush every so slightly and then I just packed the pigment on the lid. It worked really well. Foiled shadow on my lids, no fallout on my cheeks. Win, win.

I went for a nude lip. Tootsi from ColourPop is a greigey nude. It comes off a bit pinker in the photos than it does in real life. Suffice it to say that it is a lovely and very unique color. Again, the formula of these is fantastic. My last Holiday Look used the Lippie Pencil in Creature which I also loved!

Oh, I added lashes. Because I can’t help myself.

LOL girl, I feel you on this one! Which is why even though I love lipsticks, if I know I’ll be eating a lot, I won’t wear one. Either that, or I’ll wear one that’s close to my lip color and easy to take off. I love how you did your eye makeup – it’s almost close to being grungy if paired with a dark lip, but not quite!

Thanks Becky! I know right, food trumps all…I can’t help myself. Oh I definitely need to try this look with a dark browny red lip I think you’re right that would definitely look cool!

That’s such a gorgeous look! Your eyes remind me of the sunset! I’d like to recreate it, but I have to look for a gold shimmery (with a hint of orange) eyeshadow first.
