Makeup Challenge (9) Subtle Contour

Contour 1

Alright, if you’ve been following this makeup challenge (linked here) you know that this challenge was supposed to be Chiseled Cheeks. Well guys, I can’t do that apparently! I piled on the contour and when I looked at the pictures I was like hey, where’d my makeup go?! Honestly, I find that I need to wear a ton more makeup on camera than I do normally just for the intensity to show up as I want it to. So bear with me as I learn 🙂 Onto the very simple makeup!

Contour 4

I accidentally decided to do a nice subtle, everyday contour look for you all! I swear I have contour on! Just look realllllllly closely….do you see it? Me neither. HA! No, it’s kinda there right?

Contour 3

I am honestly just so light handed! I think it would help if I had some soft box lighting in conjunction with the daylight that I use. Well, I like to place my contour directly beneath the cheek bone and bring it up in a C shape to the hollows right below my temple.

Contour 2

I did something a bit different and contoured my nose. I never contour my nose! But I actually like the subtle straightening of the nose it caused. I have a bump on my nose so the contouring disguised that from the front which was quite nice. Not that I mind having a bump on my nose! No one’s perfect!

Contour 5

Alright, so a bit of a failed challenge but hey, you win some you lose some. Oh, for my eyes I just did a blended out wing from my bottom lash line. Nothing fancy! And brought my contour into the eye socket. I promise I’ll do another contouring look at some point! One where you can actually see the contour 😉 Hope you’re all having a lovely day!

Thanks E! Corner lashes definitely make a huge difference. They really elongate the eye without looking too unnatural.
