Luxury Favorites

LuxuryFavorites

Darian from Foundations of My Life and I are doing a collaboration today! I decided to share my luxury makeup favorites and she is sharing her drugstore favorites so definitely go check out her recommendations and her awesome blog! She’s the best! On to the much loved, will definitely repurchase (yes, that’s my debit card crying), luxury products!

Now, I must say that I am not one to go to Nordstrom every Saturday and grab some high end products. I wish I could, but a girl has to eat…and pay rent…you know, live. The luxury products I buy are well researched and I usually lust over them for a few months before I take the plunge. (I always used to make fun of my dad when he read consumer reports for like toasters and garden rakes but now I do the same thing…but with makeup)

Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium – An absolutely beautiful sculpting powder. It’s cool toned and finely milled. Not much more to say. I haven’t found anything like it, anywhere. It’s a great multi-purpose product. I am totally guilty of forgetting my brow powder and using this instead. This is also a fantastic crease product! So you know, 3 products in one…that makes the price okay, right?

Givenchy Le Rouge in 203 Rose Dentelle – I don’t think I’ve ever talked about this lipstick but oh my stars! Fetch the smelling salts because this formula will make you swoon! It’s more of a satin matte finish and it’s oh so comfortable and the shade is so unique. It’s a rose shade but it has some peach tones in there as well. Absolutely love this! Definitely swatch a few of these next time you’re in Sephora.

Lancome Belle de Teint in 04 – I feel like I’ve raved about this a million and one times. It’s great. Go swatch it and see for yourself! I reviewed this here. It’s just the perfect shade for fall and winter months!

Guerlain Meteorites Illuminating Powder – This is a fantastic powder that is oh so dreamy to apply. You just dust this all over the face, or under the eyes and it’s so brightening! I reviewed this in my perfect eye duo which I will link here.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 4.5 – I finally bought this foundation out of desperation. I had sampled almost everything in Sephora and Macy’s and this was the one that just worked. Also the sales assistants were about to kill me…This is honestly the best foundation that I have ever put on my face. It’s just great. It has medium coverage and a little goes a long way! I feel my bottle getting lighter and lighter and I am dreading the day when I run out…it’s so expensive, but it’s so good! Also the shade range is pretty comprehensive and they get the undertones right!

What are the luxury products you can’t live without? (Figuratively speaking of course) Any products that are on your holiday wish list?

Adding luxury products to your routine can be so addictive haha, I have never tried any of these brands/products but they all sound lovely. Some of my favourite luxury products will probabbly have to be from CT x

Excuse me while I add all of these products to my wishlist….. Thanks a lot, Ellen! Such a great post, and these all seem like incredible products! I’m the same way about researching products and waiting for months and months to finally buy them. I’ve heard amazing things about that Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder! And yes, the fact that’s it’s 3 in 1 makes the price just fine (or at least a little more bearable). 🙂 I’m so glad we got to collab!!! You’re such a lovely person!!

If you are considering buying it I definitely recommend Sephora’s Kevyn Aucoin Christmas set. It’s a bigger pan size and you get a whole bunch of other fun goodies 🙂 I’m so glad we got to do a collaboration too! You’re the best 🙂

I don’t really have any high end/luxury items in my collection, but I do think that good quality items are worth spending a bit more money on. I especially love to hear that those products are worth the money 🙂

Love all of your picks, the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder is something I’ve been wanting for the longest time, maybe I’ll splurge on it soon. Currently the new Hourglass palette is on my wish list for the holidays, it’s so pricey though.

I definitely recommend getting the holiday Kevyn Aucoin set at Sephora actually. The pan sizes are actually LARGER in the palette than they are in the individuals and you get a beautiful highlighter as well.

The quality of their products is truly fantastic. And they get the tone right, the contour powder is nice and grey so you don’t end up looking orange.

Oh I know…luxury skin care products is like a black hole! My poor wallet!
