Tricia from Trishh Youngg and I are doing a collaboration based on work and school appropriate makeup focusing on the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette. Tricia is doing a University appropriate makeup look over on her tumblr so go and check that out (linked here). We also chatted about what makeup means to a working woman and a university student. Tricia is having a giveaway over on her blog so definitely make sure to check that out!
I recently did a post using the duo chrome in the lower right hand corner of the palette which I will link here. That look is obviously not the most work appropriate so I created another one that is more appropriate for a conservative work environment.
This is an all drugstore look because let’s be honest, makeup is expensive! I used the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous foundation which I love and have reviewed here. It’s easy to blend and long lasting!
For blush I went with Milani Rose Blush in Romantic Rose which is completely matte because I didn’t want the look to be too shimmery for an everyday work look.
The Milani blushes are really some of my favorite blushes of all time, not just from the drugstore! They’re fantastic quality and I am constantly impressed with their quality and staying powder. They will last through your 8 hour (or 12 hour) day! I will link my review of the Milani Blushes here.
Finally I dusted the Rimmel Stay Matte Shine Control Powder just to set my T-zone and my chin because after a long day my face likes to get a bit shiny. If I’m honest I don’t touch my makeup up at work but if you want to just slip the powder in your purse for easy touch ups during the day.
What do you wear to work or to class? Do you tend to change your makeup looks from weekday to weekend? A huge thanks to Tricia and make sure to go and check out her blog!
