I feel like when the “Looks for Fall” come out everyone is just SHOCKED to see berry lips on the list. It’s there every single year because it is a classic. Which is awesome for me because I absolutely love any plummy, berry hued lipsticks! I have compiled my favorites that I am just so excited to wear in the fall!
I think with these types of colors it’s nice to see them all swatched together so you can see the minute tonal differences. And cry that you buy things that look exactly like things you already have…no, they’re different right? Right! Moving on! From top to bottom (or if we are being anatomically correct from distal to proximal). BAHA anatomical terms, and you thought they wouldn’t be important! Okay, I digress.
Nivea Care and Color in Sheer Berry – This is a great everyday balm. It adds just a hint of color but it has a moisturizing core (oh my…). If a bolder lip scares you or you are just looking for an everyday, work appropriate color this is a great one! This is also great over some lipliner just to add some shine and moisture.
Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien – This is another nice everyday shade. It just gives a nice wash of color without being too overwhelming. It’s also the Satin formula so it’s very comfortable on the lips. This is part of the birthday gift at Sephora so if you aren’t on their birthday list get on it!
Maybelline Color Drama in Pink so Chic – Ahh, this is one of those products I salivated over! I live in the U. S. so I could not get this product for the longest time (I still can’t). However, my amazing roommate picked this up for me while she was in the U. K. last year. This formula is fantastic. It’s matte but it’s still super comfortable.
Mac Plumful – I feel like this is one of the most talked about Mac lipsticks. It is FANTASTIC! It’s incredibly comfortable to wear and reapplying is a joy with no flaking or clumping or any of that nonsense.
Maybelline Colorblur in Plum Please – This is VERY matte. Your lips must be in good condition to wear this because it is not forgiving! I highly recommend a blot once applied to prevent transfer and make it last longer. This lasts really well throughout the day. I like to apply it with a brush because it’s one of those very matte formulas that is super soft so to maintain control I use a brush. It’s a stunning color, I can’t wait to wear it in the fall!
Colourpop in Tulle – I recently reviewed my Colourpop haul which I will link here. I really enjoy this liquid lipstick. It is completely opaque and dries to a matte finish very quickly. I also recommend a brush for this one just because mistakes are not easy to correct due to the nature of the formula.
What lipsticks are you waiting to crack out in the fall? I’m super excited to wear these on a more regular basis! Look out for a fall inspired look in the next post!
