As I was browsing Drugstore.com and trying to get enough in my cart to have free shipping (as one does…) I decided to take a quick peek at Wet n Wild. Believe it or not I have never owned a Wet n Wild product before now. How shocking is that?! Anyhow, I decided to grab the Wet n Wild Coloricon Reserve Your Cabana bronzer (why do they call it a bronzer?!) and I also grabbed the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone eyeshadow palette. I will be doing a look with these in my next post so keep your eyes peeled for that! For now, I’ll give you an overview!
Color Icon Reserve Your Cabana – They call this a bronzer but this is absolutely a highlighter no question about it. It has a slightly golden sheen and it really is gorgeous. I like to dust this on the tops of my cheekbones, tip of my nose, cupids bow, tear duct…pretty much everywhere. This powder is incredibly finely milled and such a joy to work with. There are no huge chunks of glitter so this just imparts a beautiful shine. Highly recommend, A+
Color Icon Comfort Zone – Okay, I didn’t expect much from a $5 palette. Man was I wrong! This palette is seriously amazing. It’s pigmented, blendable and all around awesome. Wanna know my only critique? (And it’s a small one) I don’t like that they emboss the shadows with recommended placement. DON’T TELL ME! I put my shadows where I want! Haha, I told you it was a small thing. I just want the shadows to have a smooth surface. I’m crazy, what can I say? Other than that this palette is just so worth the $5…I mean that’s cheaper than most Starbucks drinks!
Also, let’s give a nice shout out to that gorgeous duo chrome in the bottom right hand corner. So beautiful! I’m doing a look with that shadow in my next post 😉 It’s also important to mention that the “Definer” in the lower left hand corner swatches a little bit more brown than it looks. Overall this is the best $8 I have spent on makeup, ever. Huge thumbs up. (Also it got me free shipping so it was essentially like saving money, right?)
