Sunglasses for Glasses Wearers – Rayban

RayBan 1

Rayban Round Fleck Brown Classic B-15 – I was prescribed my first pair of glasses in the 2nd grade. My eyes have become progressively worse over the years so I am now a constant glasses wearer. I have tried contacts and honestly, I just can’t get used to them. They make my eyes feel so dry! I love wearing my glasses but this presents a bit of an issue come summer time, especially in the city. SO BRIGHT, CAN’T SEE! I have green eyes so the sun is especially harsh for me and I can’t just pop my cool shades on and be good to go.

This leaves me with one option. Prescription sunglasses. Shock, horror, gasp, wallet dead. I was lucky enough to receive these for my birthday this year and it’s really quite a pleasure to be able to see where I am going!

These are the Rayban Round Fleck. I wanted to get something that was a bit different but that I could also wear for a while because they’re not cheap! I love the tortoise shell and gold hardware, they have a decidedly vintage feel. I decided not to go for the Rayban lenses because they are a bit more expensive than the standard ones, and prescription lenses are expensive enough to begin with. These lenses are brown tinted and polarized so I really love the way everything looks with them on.

Any other glasses wearers that run into the same problem? What are your shades of choice this summer?

Hey Ellen, what a lovely pair of sunglasses!

I wear glasses as well, but the problem is I only like obnoxiously big sunglasses (RayBan never looks right on me) and you can’t put prescription lenses on those. I wear contact lenses when I want to wear sunglasses. It’s not the best solution but oh well!

I have a smaller face so these seem to work well for me. I love wearing sunglasses so I wish I could tolerate contacts! Maybe I should give them a go again!

Contacts have definitely gotten better, I think. But I have to say, those sunglasses are making me seriously jealous. MUST BUY NEW ONES!

Haha I should definitely try them because prescription sunglasses are so pricy!
