Favorite Foundation Combo

Fav Foundation Combo - 2

If you read my foundation prep you know that I struggle with dry skin. However, I don’t love using “moisturizing” foundations because they make me shiny and are often a bit too rich and can break me out. I also tend to stay away from anything with too much alcohol as that is just a recipe for disaster. I like to find something in the middle. Something that isn’t “moisturizing” but also not “mattifying.”

My favorite combination is the Georgio Armani Luminous Silk plus a small dollop of L’oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer. The primer brings a nice glow with no glitter to be seen. The foundation is a nice medium to full coverage that doesn’t catch on any dry patches and doesn’t break me out.

I wear the shade 4.5 which is perfect for me in Summer. During the cooler months I just add a bit more of my Light Infusing Primer which lifts the color a shade or two.

At first I was deterred by the price of the foundation but you honestly need so little of it! My favorite way to apply this combination is to put a small dollop of each on the back of my hand and start patting it into my skin with a finger. I usually finish blending with a moist Real Techniques Sponge. I find this to be the best application technique for potentially flaky skin because you won’t be lifting those dead skin cells. Pleasant.

I hope this combination helps! Try adding the Light Infusing Primer to any of your foundations to lighten it a touch and allow for ease of blending (oh that sounded like an infomercial…). I will also link my foundation prep here! I hope this helps!

Samples are always dangerous because then you want to buy everything! Let me know if you end up liking it 🙂 it’s definitely the best foundation I have every tried!

It’s definitely worth the money! I’ve had it for MONTHS and I’m not even halfway through it.

I picked up that L’Oreal primer after seeing this post and I am in love! It works great as a natural-looking highlight as well!

Yesss, it’s amazing! I’m a newly combo/almost dry skinned gal (I used to be really oily, not sure what happened lol), so I’ve been trying to find things to make me dewier and that won’t cling to dry patches, and this is great!

Yeah I have the same (combo but mostly very dry) and this really does make you glow from within.
